Global Tech Women
Roundtable Meetings - Hong Kong & India
16 June - 05 July 2019
A note from Deanna Kosaraju:
In 2008, while working for the Anita Borg Institute, I travelled to India on vacation and of course, wanted to meet with women in tech in the region! I came back from that vacation committed to start a Grace Hopper Celebration in India. It took two years of convincing the team, Board Members, securing resources, finding an amazing events team in India, and building a community of powerful women (and a few men) who would celebrate our efforts at the first annual Grace Hopper India in Bengaluru in 2010. From 2008-2012 I was traveling to India 4-5 times a year. I loved every minute of it.
I am asking for your help. I am requesting we meet again to hear what is happening with you, with women in technology, and how Global Tech Women can support you in your career and with your life goals. There are many more resources for women now in the region compared to 2008, but we have a long way to go. Let's talk about your journey and how we can work together to take this to the next level!
I have created a Google Sheet with my travel schedule. Please add your name and contact info in the region (tab) where you are available to meet. If you would be interested in helping us set-up a roundtable please let us know! Please add other information you feel we should address.
We will get these meetings scheduled as soon as possible. We will also try to setup Zoom for anyone who would like to meet remotely, where possible.
I look forward to seeing many of you again, and hopefully to meet many more of you for the first time! Please use the contact form if you have any questions or concerns.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
